Question:
Dear Digger Doug,
Why are there some flowers you can eat but others you cannont?
Answer:
Dear Lydia,
When God created the world, He had different purposes for things He created. While He created some flowers that were edible, He designed others with different functions. Some flowers smell great but taste terrible. Others look beautiful, but smell and taste bad. And others can be used for medicine. Think about this. In a home there may be a painted picture of an apple, a decorative apple in a bowl, a toy apple in a kid’s kitchen set, and a real apple on the table. Each one looks like an apple, but they have different functions. In God’s wisdom, He gave us flowers that are good for many different things.
